• hold reading materials very close to their face

• turn their head to the side when looking at something in front of them

• complain about things appearing blurry

Some children might not display body language or verbally reveal that they are having difficulty seeing. Some less obvious signs that your child may have vision problems are:

• having a short attention span

• losing their place when reading

• quickly losing interest or avoiding games, projects, or activities that require using their eyes for an extended period of time
